Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Azure (Oriental Blue), a fleur-de-lis Or bearing a doublewarded key wards up Gules; on a fess Sable a tiger courant Or and Sable.  Attached below the shield a Black scroll doubled and inscribed "PASSE PARTOUT" in Gold.

Symbolism
Oriental blue is the primary color traditionally associated with Military Intelligence organizations.  The tiger represents strength, readiness and military power.  The fleur-de-lis is symbolic of Louisiana, the home of the unit.  The red key symbolizes courage and vitality in the mission of unlocking information using foreign languages.  The motto translates to Pass Into/Through Everywhere.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 5 February 1991.
